Hanna is a postdoctoral researcher in the Computational Uncertainty Lab at Lehigh University. Hanna’s research focuses on environmental microbiology, infectious disease surveillance, and epidemiology. She applies mixed methods and systems thinking to address wicked public health problems, with an emphasis on understanding how environmental and social conditions shape infectious disease risk and health inequities. Brosky has led research in Latin America examining water quality, antimicrobial resistance, and women’s health, and has contributed to the development and implementation of wastewater-based epidemiology and other environmental surveillance approaches. Her work aims to better characterize disease risk in populations and settings that are often underrepresented in traditional public health research. Brosky’s long-term goal is to lead an interdisciplinary research program that works alongside community and public health partners to build sustainable interventions that support health equity and inform evidence-based decision-making.
